Our Favourite Restaurants
There are so many restaurants in Hoedspruit that it is difficult to choose a favourite. Each restaurant has its own speciality or nice feature. Personally we love the food at the Harvest House and the atmosphere and beers at the Brewery during a nice event. But make sure to explore all restaurants yourself!
Annes Cotton Club
A small and cozy café in the Bosveld Center (Hoedspruit). A nice outside terrace and some good dishes on the menu.
Arugula
Arugula is a restaurant with a beautiful rooftop terrace. It has an incredible view of the mountains and the food is good.
Blue Mountain
Blue Mountain is known for its beautiful view on the Drakensberg Mountains. It is a 20 minute drive from Hoedspruit but well worth it. The menu offers a wide range of fish, meat and veggies.
Fig and Bean
The Fig and Bean Cafe in Hoedspruit is a popular and affordable restaurant in the Rockfig Lifestyle Center. They offer breakfast and lunch.
Hat and Creek
The Hat and Creek is an excellent restaurant in Hoedspruit offering a more upmarket menu with fresh fish and great steaks.

Hoedspruit Cafe is both a coffee roaster and a cafe for some nice breakfast or lunch. There is a large playground for kids.

Kalimambo Indian
Kalimambo Indian is the only Indian Restaurant in Hoedspruit and is a bit tucked away behind the Kamogelo Center. The food is terrific and it is fun to have Indian food in a bush atmosphere.

Kampvuur Boma is a special restaurant where reservations are essential. The butchers of Kampvuur do a boma night every Friday and Saturday with a great set menu.

The Hogfather has an excellent offering of great quality food which just a bit different than in the rest of Hoedspruit. And that’s good.
The Stoned Olive
The Stoned Olive is known for its great Mediterranean food and very cozy garden terrace. An excellent choice for breakfast or lunch in Hoedspruit.
The Thirsty Giraffe
The Thirsty Giraffe is a convenient pub located on the R40, just 5-10 minutes on your way from Hoedspruit to Phalaborwa. It is the base for a lot of guides, rangers and neighbours.
The Venue
The Venue is located right next to the Ultra Liquors and is a small tasting room for wine and spirits. They also have sporting events on the screens.
Yum Truck
The Yum Truck is the one and only food truck of Hoedspruit. Well known for their pizza’s and rolls. Dinner every Friday.
